Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • All URL addresses in the text are activated and ready to click.
  • Originales escritos a espacio y medio, en letra Times New Roman tamaño 12. La extensión total no debería superar las 30 páginas (10.000 a 12.000 palabras), incluidos notas a pie de página, bibliografía y apéndices en su caso.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • The text, if submitted to a peer-reviewed section (e.g., Articles), follows the instructions given in the Ensuring a Blind Peer Review section.

Author Guidelines

Manuscripts , which must be unpublished , will be sent written in Microsoft Word format files or compatible, in digital format (CD- ROM or by email).

Format: manuscripts must be written with double spacing in Times New Roman font, size 12. Total length should not exceed 30 pages ( 10,000 to 12,000 words), page footnotes, bibliography and appendices, if any, included.

First page of the manuscript must include title, author, academic information and affiliation, e-mail and postal addresses, and a contact telephone number.

Second page of the manuscript must include two abstracts, written in Spanish and English (with about 120 words each one), and three to five key words (in both languages).

4. Style sheet:

a) References:

b) Footnotes. All notes are footnotes, and the must be numbered by Arabic numerals in superscript mode.

c) Quotations. The text should be placed in inverted commas. When quoting more than three lines it should be separated from the main text body, single spaced and indented. Any change to the original quotation must be indicated using square brackets.

5. Publication process. Anuario Jurídico de La Rioja will acknowledge receipt of all manuscripts within thirty days of receipt. The Steering Committee will decide on the publication of manuscripts on the basis, if any, of the reports prepared by experts in the field. Changes in the submitted version of the manuscripts may be required for publication accept. The decision on the publication does not exceed three months. Authors of papers accepted for publication will be required to proof-correction, which must be forwarded within 10 days. It will not be permitted to introduce substantial changes in proof-correction (it should be limited to the correction of errors regarding the accepted version, but exceptional cases expressly authorized by the Committee).

6. Copyright. It is a condition of publication that the author or authors assign the copyright of the manuscripts to the Journal. In case of requests from third parties to reproduce or translate articles or parts thereof, the acceptance will be decided by the Steering Committee.
7. Warning. The breach or non-fulfillment of these Rules will constitute grounds for rejection of the submitted manuscript
