Abstract
we explore the prehistoric spanish past in History textbooks during the Franco’s dictatorship. The teaching of History strengthened relevant topics of contemporary Spain as the role of the Iron Age communities in the national identity. An historiographic approach of school texts books demonstrates the intention of Franco and his fascist regime to tightly control the educational system and rewrite the History of Spain.Downloads
