Respuestas a la crisis de Adrianópolis : la subida al poder de Teodosio I
Abstract
After the defeat of Adrianople (8th August 378) the pars Orientis of the Roman Empire fell into a deep military and psicological crisis. The aim of this article is to explore the aftermath of this crisis and the responses that the imperial administration gave to it. The most prominent of these measures was the appointment by the Court at Sirmium of a new Augustus to the East. This man was to be the Spanish Magister Militum Theodosius.Downloads
