Teónimos y pueblos indígenas hispanos : los "Vettones"

Abstract

The author establishes, as a general theory, that each ethnic group of western Hispania is related with a defined group of theonyms. Elsewhere, various deities usually considered as vettonian, like Bandua, Reue, Trebaruna, Nabia or Arentius are, however, Lusitanian. Therefore, we find vettonian deities like Toga and Ilurbeda to the east, in the provinces of Salamanca and north of Cáceres
