El antiguo estado egipcio como alteridad : cosmovisión, discurso y prácticas sociales (ca. 3000-1800 a.C.)
Abstract
The positive valuation of the otherness and of the particular Weltanschauung of the ancient Egyptian society, allows for a reading of its social practices in an alternative way. That Weltanschauung is expressed, among other aspects, in the textual and iconographical discourses and in certain social practices related to the afterlife beliefs. In fact, variations are visualized in a wide time span. We will consider here a very long one of almost 1200 years, visualizing two opposite ideological ways in regard to the afterlife destiny of the king-god. These ideological ways had a territorial expression and displayed periods of preeminence of one above the other, as much as a search of balance between them.Downloads
