Periferia 'disputada' en el Levante durante la dinastía XVIII egipcia : áreas productivas y estratégicas
Abstract
This paper presents the development of complex techniques of control and institutions which have emerged in the Levant during the Egyptian XVIII Dynasty from a comparative “world-systems” perspective. We analyze the patterns of a strong core polity (Egypt) and the dependent peripheral societies (Syria and Palestine), and we bound systems by using interaction networks (of exchange, gifts, tribute and corvée), which link peoples from different cultures.Downloads
