Marco Fabio Quintiliano : la educación del ciudadano romano
Abstract
This article tries to show some of Quintilian’s educational ideas, starting for it’s better comprehension from the historical context in which they appeared: the last third of the first century A.D., with the arrival to government of the Flavian dynasty. The aims of the Hispanic teacher and the imperial will were similar in many aspects; his system is a perfect example of education inspired by political ideals. But Quintilian’s pedagogy is not only this, but also and especially, the aspiration to reach the common good by means of the full “humanistic” and moral formation of the Roman citizen.Downloads
