Call for papers

Dear colleagues, 

We are delighted to announce the publication of the latest issue (Vol. 22 - 2024) of Journal of English Studies (JES) (ISSN 1576-6357; EISSN 1695-4300), an annual peer-reviewed international scientific journal of the English Studies department at the University of La Rioja (Spain) with the FECYT Seal of Quality. 

This new issue includes a selection of 14 original research articles in the field of English Studies. You can access the full contents here: https://publicaciones.unirioja.es/ojs/index.php/jes  

Additionally, we are pleased to inform you that Journal of English Studies opens a Call for Papers for the next issue. The journal invites submissions of original scholarly contributions between 6,000 and 10,000 words in all research areas within the domain of English studies, including linguistics, literature, literary theory, cultural studies and film studies, among others. 

Accepted submissions will be initially published as accepted papers in press. They will receive a DOI for citation and will appear as a preprint version on the journal’s website before they are formally assigned to the next issue.  

Deadline for submissions: 31st March 2025 

Contributions should be written in English and follow the journal’s submissions guidelines
