Abstract

This article was accepted for publication in Journal of English Studies on 13 September 2025.

Following acceptance and during post-acceptance editorial checks, the editorial team identified serious deficiencies in the manuscript’s reference list and citation practices. These deficiencies materially affect the reliability and verifiability of the scholarly sources on which the manuscript is based and are incompatible with the standards required for publication in a peer-reviewed academic journal.

In order to preserve the integrity of the academic record and in accordance with the journal’s ethical standards and procedures, the article has therefore been withdrawn from the publication process. The full text has been removed and replaced by this notice. Basic bibliographic metadata are retained for the purposes of transparency and record-keeping.

The authors remain responsible for the originality, authorship and content of their work, in line with the journal’s editorial policies.
