Multinational capital and crisis of the textile industry in La Rioja (Spain)

Since the final eighties the textile industry is coming into a crisis in Spain. The most aparent event in La Rioja has been the crack of the enterprises of a multinational holding. This paper describes the evolution of these firms, put in connexion with the one of the regional textil industry, emphasizing the strategy of reorganisation against the crisis and comparing it with the one ofthe regionalfirms.Downloads
