Abstract

Blockchain has aroused interest in numerous areas, being the Registry one of them. Mortgage principles are a true reflection of a Registry system, which makes it interesting to analyze them and relate them to blockchain technology. The claim to harmonize and interconnect the Registries at a European level is not something new, however, such fact has not yet occurred. Could blockchain/DLT technology help achieve that goal?
