In June 2015, the Barranca association, through an exemplary union, initiated a legal process to eliminate 17 Francoist streets in the city of Logroño. The procedure was judicialized against the City Council, as the obliged owner to redefine the street, in accordance with what is known as the Law of Historical Memory. That two-year process meant, in addition to reparation to the victims of the Franco regime, an exercise of democratic dignity, in accordance with the fulfillment of a humanitarian law.
