For the European Union combating youth unemployment is an objective that cannot be delayed due to the unacceptably rate of young people who are unemployment. In this context, the Youth Guarantee is a new approach to tackling youth unemployment which ensures that all young people under 25 get a good– quality, offer for a job, apprenticeship, traineeship, or continued education within 4 months of them leaving formal education or becoming unemployed. Spain, as most of EU, has developed already a National Youth Guarantee Implementation Plan. However, several obstacles can be identified that might hinder advances in this field.
