This paper analyzes the current legal regime for social inclusion of disabled persons in Spain. A new General Law on the rights of persons with disabilities justifies the need for a study of this nature, which focuses mainly on the need to promote an effective equality principle, especially by facilitating access of disabled persons to work. In this sense, the author discusses the various mechanisms established to achieve the goal of full integration of disabled persons into the labour market.
