The purpose of this work is to show how the future of work in Mexico is predicted regarding the reform of the Federal Labour Law of May 1, 2019. The lines of action of the International Labour Organization are taken in contrast from the Centenary Declaration in 2015 and the subsequent Global Commission on the Future of Work in 2019. Also, the reality of COVID-19 struck the country with a panorama of new forms and conditions of work, which demands a challenge in public policies and regulation
