Reflections on the replacement of the human being by machines do not stop growing; we will focus ours, starting from a recent controversial case of objective dismissal based on the replacement of a worker by a bot, on the need to reinterpret the technical causes for extinction by objective circumstances and the qualification that the business decision to automate its activity deserves, as a logical derivation of the company’s freedom. The obvious reasons for efficiency that lie behind this measure should not be fought from “negative” positions, but rather by seeking proposals that balance the sustainability of work and the competitiveness and future of companies, through an increase in technological skills and by valuing “skills” that are typically human, and which are not easily taken on by machines, without forgetting the ethics of manufacturing, designing and using robots.
