Between sustainability and the guarantee of the public pension system

Abstract

In this work, it is carried out an analysis of the latest reforms in the field of Social Security, specifically, in the public pension system, especially in terms of the retirement pension, since as it is known, the sustainability of the public pension system has been and is a constant debate. The modifications introduced by the RDL 2/2023, are studied in more detail, which have affected both the calculation system of the regulatory base, the introduction of new mechanisms to generate more income for the Reserve Fund, as well as to favor the prolongation of active life, among others.
