This paper reports the differences between boys and girls in the way they cope with everyday problems. A representative sample of 1,715 students from Madrid was selected. Coping strategies were evaluated by using the Adolescents Coping Scale –ACS– (Frydenberg and Lewis, 1997). The results showed that girls use a great variety of coping strategies and also differences in coping styles obtained through the factor analysis conducted over the 18 strategies.Downloads
