Abstract

Las dificultades para imponer un sistema fiscal moderno y las presiones de los grupos locales de poder para impedir la realización de verdaderos catas-tros que averiguaran la riqueza agraria son los puntos de partida de este artí-culo que relaciona con exactitud los diferentes niveles de influencia y define con rigor las redes que se fueron estableciendo en la España caciquil del siglo XIX.
