Abstract

Las páginas de este artículo pretenden presentar una breve introducción a los casi cien años de historia del 98. Seleccionamos tres periodos diferentes: en primer lugar, el final del siglo XIX y la guerra de independencia de Cuba; en segundo termino, los momentos iniciales de la dictadura de Franco ; por ultimo, la atención que los historiadores han prestado recientemente hacia este tema, incrementada con motivo de la proximidad del centenario.
