Abstract

This article analyses the nature of the bourgeois revolution in Spain. The objective is to understand the extension of liberal thinking and the raising of consciousness of the bourgeoisie from 1808 on. Later there follows and analysis of the formation of this new social class in the historical context of the last stage of the “Ancien Régime”.
