Abstract

El definitivo establecimiento de los jesuitas en la ciudad de Logroño tuvo lugar en la ultima década del siglo XVI, treinta años después de su llegada en 1559. En la década de 1590, mas concretamente entre 1589 y 1595, los religiosos consiguieron establecer los conventos públicos y privados suficientes para desarrollar su proyecto educacional en la ciudad, concretar las rentas con que sustentarse y definir la actividad económica que desplegarían en los siglos siguientes.
