Abstract

This paper is devoted to the study of the powerful social influence the activities related to the sea had on Galician Freemasonryalong its two centurie.s ofknown history. Inaddition to that, special emphasiswill be made on the contribution ot urban development that this secret society held in the backward,forgotten and isolated Galician countryside.
