Sajazarra, al noroeste de la Rioja, es establecida como puebla por Alfonso VIII o Alfonso X entre 1200 y 1253 como segunda línea defensiva frente a navarra. Como consecuencia de ello será una bastida de urbanización con sentido hipodámico y se rodeara de una cerca de la que conserva restos. Muy pronto pierde importancia y se transforma en lugar de señorío por lo cual se construirá en ella un castillo palacio en la segunda mitad del siglo XV. Se hace además un resumen histórico de la villa hasta el siglo XVI.Downloads
