Although it is not our main purpose to publish original documents, we do so in this case due to the importance -and the difficult access to the document- of this material and also for the importance of the notes which accompany it. The author is well-acquainted with both regional history and its sources. This critica! edition includes new aspects of such an interesting theme as is the struggle against the epidemy of 1599 undertaken by the Local Council. Based on the testimony of alderman Andrés de Cañas of Burgos City Council, we are introduced to social aspects of collective ideology, bearing in mind economic aspects, already studied in previous works.Downloads
