Localization of an unknown feuilleton by Manuel Ibo Alfaro (1828- 1885). Incorporation of this work to its author’s bibliographic catalog. Its edition in "El Museo Universal" (1865). Analysis of the work. The literary genre: Romantic “costumbrismo”, Marian feuilleton and the precedents of Christian Naturalism. Structure and contents: aspects of traditional life in Nieva de Cameros (La Rioja) between 1834-1838, history and references to the First Carlist War, tricked peasants and farce-like structure, parody of social dialects, the praise of village life, nature and its aspects, proposal of a model of feminine virtue based on purity and charity, feuilleton’s exemplarity and ideological propaganda.Downloads
