Notas sobre literatura fantástica rioplatense

Abstract

This paper raises so me questions concerning the problematic treatment of the fantastic event: the emotions that the characters feel when they find themselves outside the natural order. The fantastic must be underlined in the text so that we can become aware of it. That task is usual/y undertaken by the protagonists of the event or by the withnesses. So we find a rhetoric of the fantastic that is recurrent and is linked to the narrator's voice. In the stories taken here into account we observe that there is an evolution consisting principally in an explanation of the unusual event, which is inherent in the text and is not a supernatural one.
