Gerardo Diego por tierras de La Rioja

Abstract

The present article is a personal reading of one of Gerardo Diego's poems, "Decir de La Rioja ", published in his book Cementerio civil ( 1972). Throughout sixty- eight verses elaborated in the most pure medieval tradition of the quaderna via Diego clearly shows his enthusiasm for the lands of La Rioja and his undoubted quality as a poet by also being able to unite legend with poetry, landscape and feeling.
