Abstract

Despite the criticism which Ortega addressed to ldealism and Phenomenology, there is little doubt of the influence Husserl bore on his own work, of which Ortega became the introducer in Spain. In this article we ha ve selected those orteguian issues of phenomenological basis and have developed one -intersubjectivity- to a greater extent, for, in our view, it represents the important weight which phenomenology bears on this Spanish philosopher. We shall, as well, observe Ortega's scarce originality in facing this philosophical problem and analyse the guiding lines of his sociology which will help us to draw a paralelism with sociophenomenology.
