Résumé

In this paper we propose the interpretation of S. T. Coleridge's Conversation Poems as the dramatisation of Coleridge's early Neoplatonic view of the poetic creative act. An initial analysis of this Romantic philosophy of nature and literature will lead us to consider the relevance of Ralph Cudworth's True Intellectual System of the Universe (1678) to Coleridge's early poetics, as well as its reflection in the already mentioned poems.
