Abstract

The Pampean-patagonian border was one of the many borders that survived within the territories colonized by the Hispanic Monarchy and its subjects. Mental as much as physical, borders were spaces of relation more than of isolation, with complexes relational systems. Within the framework of the project of extension of the Spanish trusteeship on the zone (San José and El Carmen’s Forts), a specific case, the one of the capture of Juan Luis Badiola, allow us to know that complexity in all its extension.
