Juan Perez de Solarte continued a design of Juan de Vallejo for the cloister of St. Millán de la Cogolla (1549-1559). Nevertheless, he incorporated some changes suggested by the Benedictine Order; that’s the reason of the similarities between the cloisters of St. Millán and Irache monasteries. Solarte must also do the high church choir, and the sculptor Juan de Villarreal could collaborate on the sculpture of the cloister.Downloads
