Hacia la cronotopía

La complejidad dimensional del cronotopo de Bajtín

Resumen

Este artículo propone una reevaluación del cronotopo de Bajtín. Si bien se reconoce plenamente su enfoque general (que promueve una reflexión sobre la asimilación de una cosmovisión a través de la narrativa), se cuestiona su visión sintética de las complejas relaciones existentes entre el cronotopo, el género literario y la narrativa individual. Partiendo de la concepción del cronotopo como expresión de la unidad de los textos de ficción, este artículo se centra en el estudio de la complejidad dimensional que puede existir en cualquier narrativa literaria. Esta metodología modificada se inspira en el propio análisis de Bajtín, que sugiere que tres dimensiones del cronotopo —vertical, horizontal y convencional — pueden manifestarse de diversas maneras en el texto literario, tanto ideológica como poéticamente. Breves comentarios sobre algunas narrativas clásicas sugieren que la interacción dimensional, denominada cronotopía, podría tender hacia una narrativa más monológica (cohesiva) o dialógica (compleja).
