Abstract

The article analizes the aesthetics of "Book of Manuel" (Julio Cortázar, 1973) as a response to the debates on the rol of revolutionary intelligentsia wich took place in the late sixties. The author focuses on the way the novel mixed the neo-avantgardist poetics with the theory of the ‘new man’by Guevara and with some emerging discourses such as testimony.
