The transformation of adult literature into children's books has been a very common phenomenon used for the creation of a specific canon of children's literature. The aim of this paper is to show some of the mechanisms involved in the process of adaptation and translation of these texts for children, analysing different 19th century Spanish translations of Robinson Crusoe.Downloads
