Abstract

These notes aim at commenting one of the features which characterize the process of biblical translation (New Testament) from Latin into Spanish, from the E6 Manuscript in El Escorial. Different factors join together: lexical variations, due to the fact that it is an early stage of Spanish, which starts to be used in learned circles, the influence of the middle XIII century society on the translator, as well as the attempt to create an easy version, although not a precise one, to facilitate the audience comprehension.
