Contextos Educativos is an international journal whose purpose is to investigate and to study education and the different processes involved in all the teaching-learning phases, from all the possible dimensions and perspectives, in all its modes and in any stage, taking into account space-time coordinates and considering its influences, projects and achievements, provided that they represent an advance in knowledge. It covers researchs both from Spain and abroad. To sum up, it offers very diverse and plural range of thematic areas which seek to pose an interdisciplinary approach around a common object, education, taking into account its many different and multiple contexts.
The journal accepts the following types of articles:
Articles and communications sent to the journal shall be submitted in Spanish, must be unpublished texts and not approved for publication in any other entity.
Authors linked to other organizations are welcome.
All originals received, after analysis by the Editorial Board, will be submitted to a process of evaluation by people outside the institution. This review will be conducted using the “double blind” system, in order to guarantee the anonymity of the works and there will be at least two reviewers for each work.
This Journal is published twice a year.
Journal items are published as part of an issue with its own Table of Contents.
From 1998, this journal is published by the University of La Rioja. The purpose of this journal is to investigate and to study education and the different processes involved in all the teaching-learning phases, from all the possible dimensions and perspectives, in all its modes and in any stage, taking into account space-time coordinates and considering its influences, projects and achievements. To sum up, it offers very diverse and plural range of thematic areas which seek to pose an interdisciplinary approach around a common object, education, taking into account its many different and multiple contexts. Since 2016 this journal publishes two issues per year.
Papers submitted to Contextos Educativos. Revista de Educación will be screened for plagiarism using Turnitin plagiarism detection tool. Contextos Educativos. Revista de Educación will immediately reject papers leading to plagiarism or self-plagiarism.
This journal guarantees open free access to the published information, based on the principle that free access to research improves the global exchange of knowledge.
It is recommended to deposit supplementary material, at least the research data underlying publications, in institutional or thematic open-access repositories federated in the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC).
The authors retain copyright of articles and authorize Cuadernos de Investigación Filológica the first publication. They are free to share and redistribute the article without obtaining permission from the publisher as long as they give appropriate credit to the editor and the journal.
Self-archiving is allowed too. In fact, it is recommendable to deposit a PDF version of the paper in academic and/or institutional repositories.
It is recommended to include the DOI number.

Likewise, Contextos Educativos. Revista de Educación uses the LOCKSS system (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe), which ensures the journal has a permanent and secure archive. The archived issues can be accessed in the LOCKSS Editorial Manifesto (https://publicaciones.unirioja.es/ojs/index.php/contextos/gateway/lockss). In this way, articles are progressively archived, guaranteeing that the stored digital information can remain available and continue to be used in the future.
