1. Articles and communications sent to the journal shall be submitted in Spanish or English, must be unpublished texts and not approved for publication in any other entity. They shall be addressed to the journal’s platform (publicaciones.unirioja.es/revistas/contextos).
2.The wording of the text must preserve the authors’ anonymity, and should avoid expressions such as “as we said in our previous work,” etc. Papers submitted will be reviewed through the platform enabled for this purpose. It is mandatory to provide the affiliation, the ORCID Identificator and the email of all the authors. During the submission, all the authors of the article must be indicated with the express indication of these data. Any subsequent incorporation, removal or realignment must be duly justified to the editor.
3. Contextos Educativos. Revista de Educación favors the use of an inclusive language in the articles that publishes. Authors must avoid all kinds of expressions that imply any form of discrimination against people or groups of people based on race, gender, religion, nationality, or socioeconomic status, as well as any expression that contributes to legitimizing or reinforcing stereotypes based on the aspects pointed out. Likewise, authors are expected to avoid using language that contributes to underestimating or hiding a particular sex.
If applicable, authors must explicitly express in their manuscripts if their research data considers the sex factor in order to account for possible differences depending on sex and gender.
4. Papers submitted will be screened for plagiarism using Turnitin plagiarism detection tool. Contextos Educativos will immediately reject papers leading to plagiarism or self-plagiarism.
5. Contextos Educativos welcomes articles in English. Articles can be submitted in Spanish or English to be peer reviewed. Once accepted, the article may have an additional version in the other language of the journal (in English if the article has been submitted in Spanish, or in Spanish if the article has been submitted in English) as long as said translation is carried out by accredited translators. Authors will assume the costs of this translation which will be published along with the version in the original language.
6. The text should have an extension of no more than 7500 words, abstracts, references and keywords included.
7.The works must necessarily conform to the article template provided; Otherwise, they will be rejected. All manuscripts should be submitted in Word, in 12pt Times New Roman font with 1.5 spacing. Configuration page should be 2.5 cm. in all margins. The first page should contain the title of the paper in and the abstract between 250 and 300 words in Spanish and in English. Also 3-5 key words should be added in Spanish and in English. For the selection of key words, it will be used the UNESCO Thesaurus.
8. It should also briefly include the aim of the research, the methodology used, and its main conclusions. It will emphasize what is regarded as new or innovative to the scientific community.
9. Preference will be given to those papers which provide research findings and which adequately develop the IMRYD format: introduction, method, results and discussion.
10. Space should not be left in the text for inserting tables and figures. It is sufficient to include an appropriate reference (for example, figure 1, figure 2, etc.). All tables and figures will be included with their corresponding numbers at the end.
11. The way of quoting other works and the presentation of bibliographical references shall be according to the norms of the American Psychological Association (APA) 7th edition. DOI number must be included, if available.
12. References must be current (approximately 30% from the past five years).
13. Footnotes should not be included.
14. Acknowledgments and funding sources, if any, will be included in "Acknowledgments", at the end of the article, before the list of "References".
15. All originals received, after analysis by the Editorial Board, will be submitted to a process of evaluation by peer review. This review will be conducted using the “double blind” system, in order to guarantee the anonymity of the works and there will be at least two reviewers for each work.
16. Any originals failing to comply with these rules will be returned to the authors for the necessary modifications to be made.
17. Before final publication proofs will be sent to the author for correction. Authors must correct these proofs within not more than ten days. During proofreading significant variations or additions to the text will not be accepted.
18. The publication of articles in journals of the University of La Rioja do not entail any kind of right to remuneration.
19. The Editorial Board and Management of CONTEXTOS EDUCATIVOS accept no responsibility for the ideas and opinions expressed in articles appearing in the journal by their authors.
20. CONTEXTOS EDUCATIVOS is an Open Access Diamond Journal. There are neither article submission charges, nor publication fee for accepted papers.
21. Starting with issue 23 (2019), this journal is published exclusively in electronic format in open access.
22. Once the submission has been accepted for publication, the author is given the opportunity to send an Extended Abstract of 1000-1500 words (in English) summarizing the most important aspects of the article. This increases the citation potential of the article. Although sending you this abstract is not mandatory, it is highly recommended.

The authors retain copyright of articles and authorize Contextos Educativos. Revista de Educación the first publication. They are free to share and redistribute the article without obtaining permission from the publisher as long as they give appropriate credit to the editor and the journal.
Self-archiving is allowed too. In fact, it is recommendable to deposit a PDF version of the paper in academic and/or institutional repositories.The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.
