Comunidades Pro-Ana y Pro-Mia

Ana y Mia son seudónimos utilizados para referirse a la anorexia nerviosa y a la bulimia nerviosa, respectivamente. En las comunidades pro-Ana y pro-Mia se hace apología de estos trastornos de la conducta alimentaria (TCA). El objetivo de este trabajo consiste en analizar las investigaciones donde se estudian los espacios pro-Ana, pro-Mia y pro-TCA. Para ello se realizó una revisión sistemática en Web of Science (WoS), Scopus y Educational Research Information Centre (ERIC). Se registraron 339 documentos y, tras aplicar los criterios de selección, se incluyeron 38 artículos. Los resultados revelan que la mayoría de los trabajos se han publicado en los últimos siete años y que el TCA más estudiado es la anorexia. Además, los resultados constatan que en las comunidades pro-TCA se defiende un estilo de vida propio relacionado con alteraciones en la salud mental, física y social. Por último, se consideran las propuestas de alfabetización mediática y de educación formal y no formal para fomentar la salud frente a los TCA mediante actuaciones en contextos educativos.
