Spanish government in office dislikes the educational law passed by the former socialist goverment. In fact, Popular Party -the party backing the governmentopposed the educational law passed by the Parliament in 1990. Popular Party seemed to specially dislike the egalitarism in the law. Popular Party fought the idea of comprehensiveness till the end of the first level of secondary education -till sixteen years-. This paper will be structured along four paragraphs. The first one is devoted to an appraisal of the education act of 1991, specially what it come have becomen and have not.
