This empirical research aims to study the memory and the process of memorizing as a learning strategy related to the English language acquisition. Thus, we want to know whether 4th ESO (Compulsory Secondary Education) students use this learning strategy, how often they use it and its repercussion on their English language learning. The results support that students have a great confidence in memorizing as a learning strategy in acquiring English as a foreign language. 34% of the students affirm that they use memorizing almost always and 24’5%, always. As for different sub-tasks correlations, memorizing has a positive influence in recognising the right word according to the context.Downloads
